And... here's Michael's first grade teacher, if which I'm not mistaken, is named Karen Graves.
Also, yes, she is horned in human form. It took me a bit to come up with her humanoid form when I started drafting the parody, and I wanted something a little more that says "a few decades ago". I theorized about mainly what her hairstyle and clothes should be like, and did think of her looking a little bit 50s (the big pleated skirt), but I thought that since the original story takes place in 2001, and if we assume that Monsters University is in 1991 (10 years before), then maybe Mike was a first grader in the late 70s (counting at least 11-12 years and assuming he was 6 in the film's prologue; kindergarten begins at 5 for most kids here in the U.S.A.).
So, I ended up doing this disco girl/family sitcom mother hairstyle, but still wanted a big pleated skirt for her, so I gave her a simple sweater and a necklace that's a bit more bohemian (or hippie), just to look a bit more simple (and not too decade definitive) and have this apprearance that says "pretty and friendly elementary school teacher". Personally, I like how she turned out; she doesn't use her transformation in my parody, however (not all of them do).
So, that pretty much sums up Graves-Sensei (yes, that's how I like to refer to her, and I'm thinking of Mike also referring to her as "Sensei"). Hope to do more exciting stuff over my Spring Break! I also hope you all like her; it took a lot of effort to get this vision right.
