After days of struggling to do the background, I finally came up with something and finished this piece!

I originally wanted to do an interior of the EEK house, but nothing I did was working. I had trouble wanting to place a rug and sofa along with a table, and it just was not working, so I ended up doing a pile of pillows and a halftone background (whee).
So, here's Donna Soohoo of EEK, wearing her in-home lounge clothing. I imagine she likes to relax inside the sorority house wearing big sweaters and her cotton stockings; sometimes with slippers. Nancy Kim, one of her best buddies outside of EEK, has also adopted this comfy style, but of course, wears it in gray and black instead of purple tones. But of course, now I'm getting off-topic.
Back on-topic, however, I mainly did this drawing to play around with doing poses in different angles (in this case, a little bit of a bird's eye view), and to try and make it look a little more natural. I wanted her to be on her knees, but not in a "time for bedtime prayer" or "tea ceremony" type of way that looks so stiff and orderly, but more of a "playing around on a weekend afternoon" way; that's also why the positioning of her feet look a little more haphazard in this drawing, but this is intentional. Plus, I also needed an excuse to draw super-long sleeves. Also, she needs to start appearing more in my humanoid!adaptation of MU.
So, that's about it for this piece. I'm working on the Claire sketch as of right now, and hope to have here on here soon too.
