Description

It's here... Board 4 of "Reject Force Seven vs. The Aliens"!!!

They have met the enemy, and it is NOT themselves.

So, on the left page, it starts that Dee Fibrillator, who is wearing a highly stylized nurse costume, has taken over the whole operation, believing herself to be "Queen of the Team". She asks Vince (who's wearing a shirt with Starry Night printed all over it) what they've found. He reports that he has seen a ship appear out of nowhere, possibly disabling its cloaking device to prepare for confrontation.

The ship is an Imperial Star Destroyer christened with the name Serenity. (For those of you who don't get it, Serenity is the name of a spaceship in the sci-fi series Firefly, starring Nathan Filion as a character named Malcolm Reynolds), and apparently Vince notes that it has a "seriously awesome paint job". The painting on the ship indicates that it belongs to someone named "Johnny" and not "Malcolm", however, and Vince is probably wondering "Lolwut in da Kuiper Belt is Fear Tech and why do they want to beat it?" It also appears as if the alien commander has some friends that may have painted hearts and cupcakes on the side of the ship for extra decoration. In the last panel on the left, Shiatsu (in the bishonen prince costume) notes that they are "indeed doomed", with Bissell Dustbuster (in the butler costume) crying like Bolin from Legend of Korra, and Pabu the Fire Ferret confused by the turn of events.

On the right page, the scene switches to the simple and tastefully designed Command Bridge of the Serenity, where three aliens are plotting their victory over the "pathetic humans". The one with the horns and staff is their Admiral, the one with the crab hand is the weapons general, and the one with the antennae and lizard tail is the cloaking technician and the ship's personal baker. They decided that victory should be celebrate with pizza and togas, with the crab-armed alien cheering "TOGA! TOGA!" (Alien Frat boys? Really now!). Back on the USS Enterprise, Dee summons Partlet Cosmetic (who's wearing a waitress costume) to bring over Leticia Coleman and Sombrilla Parasol over to the bridge for a foolproof plan to defeat the aliens.

Ok, I'll admit something: Partlet's waitress costume and flouncy pigtails were slightly inspired by the battle waitress costume worn by Mikuru Asahina in the Haruhi Suzumiya series :www.zerochan.net/510723 (Seriously, Mikuru and Partlet are almost like sisters, except Mikuru is ginger and waaaaaayyyy too much of a crybaby, while Partlet is pink haired and although shy, a bit more mature in her manner of dealing with sticky situations).

So, I just admitted that Partlet is totally moe. Aside from that, see if you can find any other pop culture references and jokes in this board, 'cause it's got "parody" written all over it!!! And stay tuned to see if Board 5 has the winds of change howling in Reject Force Seven's favor!

"Whoever created Firefly" That would be Joss Whedon. Loved the reference!
