And loving it too!

Not much to say, other than I recently saw Monsters University. I originally didn't plan on doing any fanart for it, but after having seen VinDeamer's Terri and Terry humanizations, I said, "Why not?". Currently, I'm sketching out the Slugma Slugma Kappa Girls, after which I plan to do Eta Hiss Hiss, and save the best for last... Python Nu Kappa! (soooooo many great design ideas!!!)

I've been on an art spree lately, also having done some anime fanarts, just so people don't see the same characters over and over from me. Hopefully I could get my MU fanart here as soon as possible!!!!!! =D =D =D

1)where are you from
As Mikuru Asahina from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya would say, "That's classified."

    Nope.

3) name the worst food you've ever tasted
    Can't really say.

4) now name your favorite food
I've got way too many! Let's see, I do like fruits and vegetables (GASP!), pasta, burgers, smoothies, Chinese, Italian, frozen yogurt, sushi, just to name a few.

5) do you like Ice-Cream?
Of course! Preferably in frozen yogurt form; it's healthier than soft-serve or any regular ice cream.

6) what is your eye colour
    Again, "That's classified."

7) whats your favorite band?
BarlowGirl, ZOEGirl, Point of Grace, Out of Eden, Inhabited (all Christian bands =)

8) who do you think is the worst leader ever?
    EMPEROR OBAMA.

9) which culture is your favorite?(it can't be yours)
I'm a big fan of Asian culture, particularly for their gorgeous traditional costumes and silkscreen/woodblock paintings.

10) What is your favorite anime?
Assuming that American creations are not being counted, I'll say Lucky Star, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and the Pretty Cure franchise (seriously, any PreCure fans out there?).

Yes! I finally learned to do this!!! Now my watchers can see my other stuff outside dA.

So, not much is going on, other than I'm on Spring Break.  Might do some art, and I'm planning to watch some more anime soon. Lately, I've been intrigued by the Haruhi Suzumiya series (those opening and ending sequences I've seen on YouTube are so amazing!), mainly because it seems to be a funny version of shows like Fringe and Doctor Who, and the cast of characters is quite interesting, and also I'm considering watching the anime franchise Pretty Cure, because it's so cute and colorful, with lots of cool action. Other animes I'm interested in are K-ON!, which is a little like Glee, but more family-friendly and it involves playing instruments (I wouldn't watch Glee; it's too adult for my tastes) and Nichijou, which is about friends who lives a normal life despite various absurdities occurring in her school. I've also considered Azumanga Daioh and Pani Poni Dash!, which I hear are just plain weird but hilarious adventures of girls in school.

So, that's pretty much that. And now before I end this journal...

 Bible Verse of the Month

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat, this is My body." Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's Kingdom.

...and now that my winter vacation is about to come to an end pretty soon.

So, I just wanted to update this thing again. Not much to say, other than I got the Avatar: The Last Airbender Art Book for Christmas, as well as another Avatar book about Toph, some gift money, and Disney Universe, which I started playing and I got so addicted to, especially one world specifically (I just love the way they remixed its soundtrack and added a bunch of funny elements). Then on my birthday, I got some more gift money and the art book for WALL•E, and I later purchased myself a WALL•E-themed journal to draw more art in!

And also, this winter break, I watched my first anime series that is not and American creation like Avatar is. I was able to watch all 24 episodes of Lucky Star on YouTube, and dubbed in English. Seriously, that show was hilarious!!! There's so many funny moments, I have too many favorites to even list in this entry! A few of my faves include Konata discussing the chocolate cornet and different ways of tacking pastries and dishes, a discussion on dentistry catering to boys because of robot drills and beautiful assistants, Tsukasa imagining herself floating in the water when putting a seashell to her ear, Konata handing Cafe Au Lait to Kagami and Tsukasa along with shopping lists for Comiket 71, and every time the anime salesmen appear to sell Konata merchandise, and the explosions when they get foiled. I was laughing so much with that show. Aside from a few PG-rated elements the series has (discussion of topics like dieting, body development, self-image, neighborhood crime, etc.), this show is good for those looking for something more relaxed and different than most anime known here in America (you know, stuff like Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Naruto, Dragon Ball; the action/sci-fi/fantasy shows). My two fave characters in the show had to be Tsukasa and Miyuki; they were the sweetest and most adorable of all the characters, and kind of remind me of some of my own characters. =)

Wow! I've written quite a bit this time. So, hopefully I continue to put up more art, and since I'm taking more art classes this spring semester, I hope to show off whatever I make in my classes.

EDIT: I for got to mention to you guys that I've now got a FanFiction.net account!!! My name over there is Earth Rockin' Toph, and I'm currently uploading a new re-edited and beautifully re-mastered edition ofStar Vacation, just in case anyone wants to check out.

The summer season for me, that is. =(

So, I just wanted to update this journal before school starts again, and I'll be having to put all my focus into my schoolwork. The good news is that I'll be taking a graphic design class, so hopefully that helps me get better with my art. I am getting serious about making an organization plan that I pray will work out; I hope to get my homework done on time, and if my schedule allows (but ultimately, God willing), to be able to put up some art here during the semester, mainly on the weekends. But then again, it's 1) in God's hands, and 2) if I don't procrastinate on any schoolwork; I've had that habit before.

Also, I've been thinking about this lately... I'm thinking of starting a new group soon, but I'd like to name a co-founder. If anyone wants to participate, send me a note. The group is going to be a surprise (no, it's not an Avatar group, but it's Pixar-related...how predictable). I've also been contemplating turning over EVE-lovers to PurpleRAGE9205, but I'm unsure of that decision as of yet. I'll probably hold off on that one for a while.

And that's pretty much I have to say for now. So before I leave this journal entry...

I really should update this more often. Oh well....

Again, not much has happened over the summer, except for the fact that I'm coloring as many drawings as possible before college starts again. I've actually gone through my notebooks, and I've found some stuff I've been wanting to color in since 2010... how unbelievable!!! Having found those, I decided to re-work and re-sketch some of those drawings before scanning them in, and I hope to be able to have most of them up here for you guys to see.

Which brings me to this point of advice for artists' block: If you don't know what next to color, go through some old stuff that you've probably never bothered to put up here and re-work it if you want to. I also do hope to do some art during school time so I won't disappear and keep my gallery alive during the school year; not just working on holidays.

Also, some interesting things have happened lately. I saw Brave in theaters, so probably expect some fanart from me soon. Some thing's I've forgotten to note is that in spring, I got Britt Nicole's latest CD, Gold (seriously, listen to the songs "Gold", "Ready or Not", "Breakthrough", and "Amazing Life".), and back in February, I got braces!

As for my gallery... I'm going to be putting up a bunch of random stuff, just to give it more variety than just parodies of Star Wars, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and WALL•E. Also, one character you know is going to get a major change, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Well, that's pretty much it. And before I end this journal...

Sorry I haven't been active in so long, only commenting and faving deviations around here. The semester is finally over for me, which means I'll be doing more of my crazy parodies (and hopefully, some OCs), and I'll be uploading my Illustration works after having put up all my Principles of Design work.

In other words... no, I'm not dead.

So, that's all the news I have for today's edition of MU-Cheer-Girl's Deviant Journal. Be sure to catch this summer's line-up for Directive, J.E.D.I., and AirHeads!, only in my gallery.

So, I'm still on vacation, trying to color in as much of my drawings I've made. And as usual, I'm gonna give another update on the changes taking place in my gallery.

For starters, I may be moving some pieces into the shelved folder. Probably I should even rename it the "Shelved, Other Projects, and Until Further Notice" folder

UPDATE #1: Just today, I got the idea to remake my old sketch comedy series As Seen on TV!, totally new and revamped. I'll probably do a group picture to re-introduce the cast, because I find making a group picture better than making individual reference sheets for each character. Here's the renewed folder: justsowall-ecrazy.deviantart.c…

UPDATE #2: And, Ive decided to show my design for the AirHeads! characters, "Les Poissons", side by side.

I finished my fall semester at college. Now that I'm done, I've got tons of stuff I'm going to do on here. After all, I've got until the beginning of February to do some art here.

Here's what going to go on in my gallery:

Star Vacation/Directive:

So I have finally finished my parody I posted up on PP and on here as well. I am considering doing a few pictures of some scenes, and also from my spin-off. One of the ideas I might be getting down on paper will be Wallace and Bissell's musical club, complete with  new Postulate characters, a robot teacher, and a big opening show.

J.E.D.I.:

Not much planned for this, other than some humor and a special Holiday-themed outfit for one of the Debate club characters.

AirHeads!:

There will be tons of AirHeads! stuff headed your way. However, I will try to upload different series each time just so I don't become tiresome.

Other:
I might have finally invented an original plot for my story involving my OC Tally and her friends. New characters will be introduced, and one already existing one may get a name change and some appearance updates.

So that's what's going on. Hope you're all having a great holiday season!

First of all, I would like to apologize for not having written a journal in so long. I've been busy with college work so much, and I don't really have anything interesting to say, other than I'm on vacation, and I've had a great Thanksgiving. Looking forward to Christmas.

But on the subject of college, I've only got a few more weeks to go before my winter break.
--

So, how did you enjoy your Thanksgiving? I'd like to see some comments.

And in other news, I hope you guys are enjoying my latest creation, AirHeads! The Musical. Expect more of these elemental ballroom dancers headed your way! =D

Also, here's a Bible Verse and Song of the Month:

I've been thinking about it this week, and I've decided to feature some wonderful artists I've seen around these parts. Unfortunately, since I do not have a premium membership, I don't think I can insert thumbnails of their work into my journal, so you might just have to visit their galleries.
--

With all that said, here's the artists I'm featuring in my journal.

1. :iconelixirmy:Elixirmy - I originally came across this artist under her former account name, elixirXsczjX13, but she's moved to this account (if anyone formerly watched her there, you can re-watch her at her new name). This artist has a unique style to her works, and I greatly admire her skill in giving fluidity and motion to all her characters, and this strength is especially seen in her fanart of Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball, and Fish Hooks, which are cartoons that have a "flat" look to them, but are given more dimension when drawn in her style. Also, her OCs don't go without mention. Her cast of Samy, Elixir, Perkins, Luke, Vela, Rita, and Oliver are one of the best OC collections around dA, and and honorable mention also goes to a little series revolving around a humanized Paint Tool SAI and Photoshop. Again, you've got to check her out. Some of you may already be familiar with her work.

2. :iconhanami-mai:Hanami-Mai - This artist is a definite must-watch. She's got quite a love for historical fashion, and is also pretty big on the history of kimonos. She's got this series of artworks she's working on that features kimonos from different periods of Japan's history, spanning the Heian, Sengoku, Edo, and Meiji eras. Her chibi style is one to die for (not literally :ohnoes:). If there's any historical fashion lovers and kimono fanatics out there, this is one artist you've definitely got to watch.

3. :iconneko-vi:Neko-Vi - This guy's got quite a thing for designing Lolita collections and ballgowns. All of his ensembles are so well done, you wish you could buy them at a boutique or something. I've been lurking around his gallery, and there some pretty awesome designs in there (such as a trio of Wa Lolita dresses and a British Punk outfit). I suggest you go look at some of his collections, and his designs are free to use for dressing up your characters.

...and I'm not sure if I'm up to it yet.

Truth is, that I'm considering opening up art trades. I mean, it would be fun to do, but I'm afraid I may not meet everyone's requests, and I can't do anything too complicated.

However, I do have a plan should I open up art trading. In fact, I'm going to lay out the rules right now for future reference.

Art Trade Rules

1. No blood/gore/abuse/extreme violence. I can do action scenes and fight scenes, but no blood and guts.

2. If you want my characters to speak, I will not write any foul language.

3. No sexual content of any kind, and I have the right to turn down certain pairings.

4. Basically, it's gotta be G-rated and nothing that will cause me to put a filter on it.

5. If anyone fails to comply with these rules, their requests will be rejected.

6. If I haven't seen your character(s) before, be sure to send me a reference sheet. If you don't have a reference sheet, just send me a pic of your OC, fan-OC, whatever, so I have something to refer to. I won't get mad if you don't, but it's helpful when an artist needs to know what a character looks like if they've never seen them before.

Again, I'm not officially opening up art trades as of right now, but I'm just laying down the rules for if and when I do.

With all that said, have a nice day! :iconflowerdanceplz:

:star:What's Up?

Well, I officially ended my first year of college a few weeks ago. Which means I have more time to work on digitally coloring in sketches, and also maybe do some of the memes I've found around here (if I can push myself to do them...). So be sure to keep your eyes peeled for my newest stuff, both now playing and coming soon. =D

:star:Anything Else?

I have been thinking of posting some of my assignments from my Art/Drawing class I took this year. I want to do that so you can see what I've been learning, such as perspective, lighting, shading, and tonal drawing; all done in good ol' graphite! I am especially dying to show you guys this one piece I did called a "representational self-portrait", where we had to draw a sort of self-portrait that represents us, with only one rule: you could not use your physical likeness. However, because the paper it is done on is too big to fit in my scanner, I'll be photographing it instead with a camera.

:star:Is that all you have to tell us?

Pretty much. I was going to give you guys a list of what you could look forward to in my gallery, but I'd rather keep some of my upcoming works a secret so I don't spoil the awesomeness.
